The Origin
A Name With Meaning
The word "kismet" comes from the Arabic and Turkish tradition. Kismet means fate, destiny, the sense that some things are simply meant to be. We took that word and made it active. Kismeet is what happens when you stop waiting for fate and start creating the conditions for it.
We designed Kismeet for accomplished, intentional people who are done with apps and algorithms. People who want to meet someone the way it used to happen, in person, over a shared experience, in a setting worthy of the moment.
